More than 1,000 fans were waiting for Susan Boyle at LAX

Britain's Got Talent star Susan Boyle has been mobbed as she arrived in Los Angeles to make her US singing debut.

More than 1,000 fans were waiting at the city's LAX Airport as the plane touched down.

Boyle is in the US for the America's Got Talent final on Wednesday, during which she will perform the Rolling Stones track Wild Horses.

The Scottish singer became an unlikely star after she appeared on Britain's Got Talent earlier this year.

She was the runner-up in the final, but she has announced details of her debut album which will be named after the track which propelled her to fame - I Dreamed a Dream.

The album will be released on 23 November.
