Building fire closes main street

The main street through Callander in Perthshire was closed from early morning to mid-afternoon due to a fire.

The fire broke out in a building on the town's Main Street, which was undergoing refurbishment. Police said no-one was injured.

The A84 was reopened at about 1400 BST after being closed since the early hours of the morning.

Drivers of HGVs and coaches had been sent on a long diversion but cars had been able to bypass the town.
