Osprey may have been 'strung up'

One of two ospreys that became entangled in fishing line may have spent the night hanging from a tree before breaking free.

Odin and EJ have managed to rid themselves from the line which experts feared would threaten the breeding season at Loch Garten, near Aviemore.

The pair are raising three chicks on the RSPB reserve.

Manager Richard Thaxton said Odin had damaged a wing feather suggesting he was "strung out" for a time.
