Scotland fan dies on Holland trip

A Scotland fan died while supporting his team in Amsterdam at the weekend.

Kevin Murray, 42, from Dundee, is understood to have been found in his hotel room ahead of Scotland's World Cup game against Holland.

A spokeswoman for the Foreign Office said: "We are aware of the death of a British national on 28 March in Amsterdam."

She added: "We are providing consular assistance." There are no further details about Mr Murray's death.

A spokeswoman for Tayside Police said the force had not been contacted by the Foreign Office or the authorities in Amsterdam.

Up to 15,000 Scots travelled to the Dutch city to see the national team beaten 3-0.
