Biker dies following road crash

A 50-year-old man has died after being involved in a road crash in Carluke, South Lanarkshire.

He was riding a motorbike on Kilncadzow Road, near to Yieldshields Road, when it is believed he lost control of the vehicle.

He was taken to Wishaw General Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Strathclyde Police said no other vehicles appeared to have been involved in the accident.
