An elderly man has died after collapsing at an outdoor activity centre in Aberfoyle, Stirlingshire.
The 76-year-old was on an aerial platform at the Go Ape attraction when the incident happened.
He was lowered to the ground by park instructors but efforts to resuscitate him failed.
Go Ape chief executive Tristram Mayhew said more than 1m people had been on 17 Go Ape courses since 2002 and "nothing like this has happened before".
He said the man had collapsed on a platform on the high wire adventure course.
Staff carried out CPR until paramedics arrived.
A spokesman for Central Scotland Police said the man's identity would not be released until relatives had been informed.
He added: "The Health and Safety Executive has also been informed and an investigation is being carried out by Stirling Council."
Mr Mayhew, who travelled to Aberfoyle from the group's head office in Suffolk, added: "Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and in particular to the two grandchildren who were on the course with him at the time."
