Scottish Tory conference agenda

The Scottish Conservative Party is meeting for its annual conference in Ayr on Friday 23 May and Saturday 24 May.

Here is the agenda for the two-day gathering.

FRIDAY 23 MAY

1000: Bill Walker opens proceedings followed by welcome speeches by local politicians Councillor Winifred Sloan and John Scott MSP

1010: Safer Communities debate with addresses from Neil McKeganey, director of the Drugs Misuse Research Centre at Glasgow University, and Graeme Pearson, from the Institute for the Study of serious Organised Crime at the University of Glasgow

1155: Andrew Fulton closes the morning session

1400: Financial appeal by Gavin Brown MSP

1407: Speech by David Cameron MP, leader of the UK Conservative Party

1440: Sustainable Communities debate, introduced by Murdo Fraser MSP

1545: Address by Caroline Spelman MP, Party chairman

1600: Any questions with Cheryl Gillan MP and David Mundell MP

1635: AGM and presentations

1700: Close of session

SATURDAY 24 MAY

1000: Richard Wilkinson opens the morning session and introduces Andrew Mitchell

1020: Europe session with Jackson Carlaw, Giles Chichester MEP and Struan Stevenson MEP

1040: Holding government to account debate with Derek Brownlee opening the session

1140: Question Time with Jackson Carlaw, Alan Cochrane, Peter Duncan, Richard Cook and Alberto Costa

1210: Baroness Warsi introduced by Steve Robertson

1220: Bill Walker in closing remarks

1230: Speech by Annabel Goldie MSP, leader of the Scottish Conservative Party

1250: Conference closes
