I think the Scottish elections have been dominated by the 100,000 spoiled votes - sitting watching News 24 today so that I could formulate this piece - that was the one thing that the journalists kept coming back to.

As just over two million people voted, that is an awful lot of people that didn't get their opinion counted. Could it possibly have made any difference to the result?

I was disappointed that the Green Party did so badly - they had hoped to gain three seats to bring their total up to 10, but ended up losing five seats.

All through their campaign they spoke about the electorate being seduced by the "green camouflage" of all the other political parties - I wonder if this has been the case?

There is no denying that the SNP did very well - I wonder if there were a lot of us out there making protest votes?

One can't help but wonder how anything will be passed by the Parliament in the future.

I did vote for the Green Party for my Regional vote and also for the Local Council. There was no prospective Green for the constituency member, so after much deliberation I chose the Conservative. Why?

I suppose for the Conservatives stance on the environment. Anyway, I couldn't have possibly made any difference to the result - John Farquhar Munro won as was expected.

From all that I have read, on all the political Parties in the last month or so, I think that from now on I shall be a Green Party voter.

All the parties made pledges concerning the environment during this campaign, I just hope that those pledges will get carried through now, and that it isn't a case of "green camouflage" like the Green Party say.
