Airport travel problems continue
Passengers at Glasgow Airport
Major disruption continued at Glasgow Airport
Disruption has been continuing at airports across Scotland following Saturday's terrorist attack.

Glasgow Airport, the scene of the incident, has started to get back to normal, but as many as 20 flights were expected to be cancelled.

Passengers at Edinburgh and Aberdeen airports were also warned of major delays in getting to the terminals.

Meanwhile, stranded air passengers went to Glasgow Central station to try and get trains to other parts of the UK.

The airport authority BAA Scotland said additional security measures had been put in place at all its airports.

At Glasgow between 15 and 20 flights were expected to be cancelled, with five diverted through Edinburgh, Prestwick and Newcastle, although more than 45 were on course to depart.

Travellers going to Glasgow Airport on Sunday were reporting having to wait up to 45 minutes to get into the car park complex.

A queue of at least several hundred yards long formed, made up of people hoping they would be able to travel.

Speaking from the airport, BBC Scotland reporter David Henderson said: "There is huge disruption here and the timing could not be worse, with the start of the school holidays.

"People are just stuck here waiting. They've turned up expecting to get on a plane, hoping that things would be getting back to normal, but there are still a lot of delays."

Passengers have been advised not to come to Glasgow Airport unless they had received confirmation from their airline that their flight was due to depart and not to bring friends or relatives to see them off.
