Three men have been found guilty of the racially aggravated murder of white Glasgow teenager Kriss Donald.
The 15-year-old schoolboy was snatched in Pollokshields, stabbed and then set on fire in March 2004.
ANGELA DONALD, KRISS'S MOTHER
Justice has been done, thank you - it is over.
CATHERINE DYER, AREA PROCURATOR FISCAL FOR GLASGOW
Today's verdict brings to a conclusion an anxious and complex investigation and prosecution which lasted over 30 months.
Our thoughts remain with Kriss's family.
SCOTTISH NATIONAL PARTY JUSTICE SPOKESMAN KENNY MacASKILL
Justice has clearly been done in this case.
Racial violence on whoever, by whoever is absolutely unacceptable in our society.
BILL AITKEN, SCOTTISH CONSERVATIVE MSP FOR GLASGOW
I can only hope that today's verdict will be some small comfort to Kriss Donald's family, and now enable them to move on with their lives after what has been a terrible ordeal for them.
At long last the truth has been established and the killers convicted, but the two and a half years they have had to wait for this day must have been agony.
GLASGOW CENTRAL LABOUR MP MOHAMMED SARWAR
It was a vicious and brutal murder of a 15-year-old schoolboy, and touched every member of my community.
I think it could have been very damaging for race relations in Scotland if
these Asian suspects were allowed to escape justice.
KAY HAMPTON, COMMISSION FOR RACIAL EQUALITY SCOTLAND
Let's be absolutely clear about this - racially motivated crime can occur against anybody, whatever their race or ethnic background.
The murder of Kriss Donald was callous and brutal, and the racial motivation was clear adding to the horrific nature of the crime.
Throughout the long and harrowing process of achieving justice Kriss's family has acted with dignity and local communities have stood together in solidarity, proving a strong example of how racial hatred must not be used as a divisive weapon.
