Surf board drug courier is jailed
High Court in Glasgow
A drug courier who was given a surf board as part of a deal for delivering a £50,000 cocaine shipment to Scotland has been jailed for 33 months.

Gary McMillan also received a kite for a kite board worth £270 and £200 cash for driving the drugs from Liverpool.

The 40-year-old, of Southdean Road, Kilmarnock, had admitted being concerned in the supply of 1kg of cocaine on 29 March last year.

He refused to reveal the destination or identity of his associates.

McMillan was arrested near Lesmahagow after police received a tip-off that a man driving a VW Polo had drugs.

The cocaine was contained in a box under the front passenger seat and a plastic bag containing 13.72g of cocaine was hidden near McMillan's groin.
