Careers advice 'not in the stars'
Office workers
An advertising campaign will target those considering a change
People considering a change of career are being urged to turn to the experts rather than the stars for guidance.

A campaign has been launched by Careers Scotland to encourage adults to take advantage of its free advice.

It says those considering a return to work or a change in direction should not be relying on friends, family or horoscopes for assistance.

"Not all advice is good advice," said a spokeswoman for the organisation, which has a national network of advisers.

She said these experts gave people the best chance of keeping new year's resolutions to go back to work or make the most of their current situation.

An advertising campaign will run on television, radio and online over the next three months.
