A woman has died after falling while walking with her husband in the Cairngorms.
Solicitor Margaret Evans, 55, from Ashton, in Preston, was fatally injured when she fell in the Coire an Lochan area near Aviemore on Sunday.
Her 45-year-old husband was taken to hospital suffering from mild hypothermia.
An RAF helicopter and the Cairngorm Mountain Rescue team were involved in the rescue operation.
