Woman is arrested over shooting

The shooting took place in a Greenock street

A 40-year-old woman has been arrested over a shooting in a Greenock street in which one man died and his brother was left critically injured.

Robert Lennie, 32, was killed and his brother John, 34, was left fighting for his life after the pair were shot in Lincoln Road two weeks ago.

The woman was being detained in custody in connection with the death and the alleged assault, police said.

A 49-year-old man was also arrested over charges arising from the incident.

A report was being prepared for the procurator fiscal.
