Stricken submarine regains power
A Polish submarine which got into difficulty off the coast of Scotland is expected at to arrive at the Loch Ewe Nato base on Wednesday evening.

A Coastguard rescue tug had gone to the aid of the diesel-powered Condor, which has 22 people on board.

It had developed engine problems 15 miles north east of Cape Wrath.

But the submarine's captain managed to restart its engines and it was travelling through the Minch under its own power.

A spokesman for the Ministry of Defence said that no-one had been injured and the vessel was in no immediate danger.
