Youth held over airgun shooting

Tyler Scott is now recovering at his home in Edinburgh
A 14-year-old boy has been charged in connection with an incident in which a six-year-old was shot in the head by an airgun pellet in Edinburgh.

Tyler Scott was playing with his friends in the Muirhouse area at about 1600 BST on Wednesday when he felt a sharp pain in his head.

He is recovering at home after surgery to remove the pellet.

Lothian and Borders Police said a youth had been arrested and a report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
