Giraffe witnesses sweet proposal
Stephen Bullock and girlfriend Elizabeth with a giraffe
The happy couple are saving up for their big day
Stephen Bullock stuck his neck out by proposing to his long-term girlfriend during a trip to the zoo.

Actor Stephen, 29, popped the question to Elizabeth Gooding, 27, while on a visit to the giraffe enclosure at Blair Drummond Safari Park near Stirling.

The couple both love the long-necked creatures so Mr Bullock said it seemed like a fitting place to ask his student girlfriend of five years to marry him.

The couple, who live in Glasgow, are now saving up for their big day.

Mr Bullock said: "Elizabeth really loves giraffes. We went when the park was closed and we got to feed them and stroke them.

"We got really close to them, and one even licked my face. I took her to one side away from the keepers and asked her, but she wouldn't let me get down on one knee."

He added: "She knew I had ordered the ring, but she didn't know when I was going to propose, so it was a nice surprise."
