Police have appealed for information after 150 live lobsters were stolen from a Troon restaurant.
The stolen lobsters are worth more than £1,000
The crustaceans, worth more than £1,000 and weighing 200lb, were snatched from MacCallum's Oyster Bar in Troon harbour two weeks ago.
Officers have just released details of the theft and hope that by widening the search they may hear from restaurants who may have been offered the catch.
The lobsters were stolen early on 21 September.
Inspector Bob Smith said: "The stolen lobsters will be a prize catch for someone. Whoever committed this crime knew what they were looking for."
