Man charged with woman's murder

Joseph Harrison appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court

A man has appeared in court charged with murder, following the discovery of a woman's body in Aberdeenshire.

The body of Susan Third, 21, from the Powis area of Aberdeen, was found lying near a parked car at Denside of Catterline on Sunday morning.

Joseph Harrison, of Bank Street, Brechin, Angus, appeared in private at Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

The 28-year-old made no plea or declaration to the charge of murder and was remanded in custody.

Mr Harrison is due to appear back in court next Monday for full committal.
