Two Scottish fathers whose children were killed by gunmen are flying out to Turkey to campaign about the widespread use of guns in the country.
David Grimason's son Alistair was shot dead in a Turkish café. Mr Grimason is to address a rally in Izmir.
He will be joined by John Crozier whose daughter Emma was killed in the Dunblane massacre in 1996.
It is estimated there are seven million handguns in Turkey but only about a million of those are licensed.
Mr Grimason, from East Kilbride, said he hopes to get the message across that it is not necessary for so many people to own guns.
He and his wife Ozlem have been campaigning for Turkey to tighten its gun laws since their son's death in July 2003.
Alistair was shot while sleeping in his pram after an argument broke out between two men.
Turkish grandfather
Daimi Akyuz was jailed for 36 years after being found guilty of killing the Scottish toddler.
The rally, which is expected to take place on Wednesday, has been organised by Alistair's 60-year-old Turkish grandfather Tuncer Essizhan.
Mr Grimason's father, David Grimason senior, said: "Once David heard that his father-in-law was organising the rally he knew he had to get out there and take part.
"He has been campaigning about guns ever since Alistair was killed.
"There are also people from Dunblane going over."
Mr Crozier's daughter was one of 16 children killed when gunman Thomas Hamilton shot them and their teacher at Dunblane Primary School in March 1996.
