Margaret Weir was stabbed to death in her flat

Police investigating the murder of a pensioner in Glasgow have interviewed pedestrians and motorists in an early morning operation.
Peggy Weir, who was 93, was found dead in her Maryhill flat on Christmas Eve.
More than 100 people were stopped near the pensioner's home in Raglan Street between 0400 and 0600 GMT on Hogmanay.
Strathclyde Police carried out the interviews and renewed their plea for help exactly one week after widow Mrs Weir was found stabbed to death.
Police are now assessing the information they were given by those stopped on St Georges Road, Raglan Street and also at the Q8
Filling Station.
The officer in charge of the inquiry, Detective Superintendent Kenny Watters, said: "I am still keen to trace people who were in the area between 0400 and 0600 on
Christmas Eve.
Det Supt Kenny Watters has repeated his plea for help

"We now have sightings from witnesses and CCTV of various people
and much of the work of the inquiry team is concentrated in this area.
"It would be of great benefit if individuals who were in the area
between these times were to come forward even if they were just walking on St
Georges Road in order that they can be eliminated from the inquiry.
"Many people would probably have been at nights out in Glasgow and returned home along this route."
Det Supt Watters said the level of response to date had been "very good" and he was pleased that the public in general were keen to assist.
