Biking Santas cheer sick children

More than 100 bikers handed over presents to the children
A group of motorbiking Santas has brought some Christmas cheer to sick children at a Glasgow hospital.

The Motorcycle Action Group (MAG) Scotland held its annual festive bike run on Sunday.

More than 100 bikers, many dressed as Father Christmas, delivered presents to youngsters at Yorkhill Hospital.

MAG's Stuart Regan said the bikers had been looking forward to seeing the children's faces, adding: "They love it - especially with so many Santas."

Jonathan Best, chief executive of the Yorkhill Division of NHS Greater Glasgow, said: "The support we receive from bikers across Scotland is completely overwhelming, not to mention a real highlight for the children here.

"All of the kids get a present, but those who are well enough get to try out the bikes themselves - with the kickstand down of course."
