Missing three-year-old found safe

Police in Glasgow have found a three-year-old child who had been missing overnight from his home.

Christopher O'Reilly was with his mother and a party of other adults at the side of a canal when he was last seen at 1700 BST on Friday.

Police were called by the youngster's mother when she discovered him missing.

Officers, who had carried out door to door enquiries, said the boy from Drumchapel was found safe and well in the late morning on Saturday.

A police spokeswoman said: "It appears that he has been found safe and well and it doesn't appear anything untoward has happened."

It is thought the youngster was found at the home of a family friend.
