Second pupil faces 'CS gas' charge

A second 14-year-old pupil has been charged in connection with a suspected CS gas release at Elgin Academy.

A report is being sent to the Reporter to the Children's Panel following the incident on October 6.

Eighteen pupils required hospital treatment for irritation to their eyes and throats.One girl was detained overnight for observation.

Police said the day after the incident that a 14-year-old boy had been charged and that inquiries were continuing.
