A Glasgow man has been arrested by police investigating the death of a woman whose body was found in the boot of her car.
Helen McKenzie, 32, from Glasgow, was found dead in Blackpool on Friday.
Strathclyde Police said William McInnes, 45, was traced to an address in Glasgow following a news conference on Sunday.
They said he had since been arrested by Lancashire Constabulary, who are taking him to Blackpool to be interviewed.
The death of Mrs McKenzie shocked friends and neighbours in the Haghill area of Glasgow.
The hotel chambermaid was last seen by her mother just over a month ago, on 5 May.
Body discovered
On Friday police officers were called to investigate a car in Woodfield Road in the tourist area of Blackpool.
Residents were unhappy because it had been left there for some time.
The silver Rover 200 belonged to Mrs McKenzie, and her body was discovered inside.
Police had been anxious to trace Mr McInnes, who had not been seen for several weeks.
Mrs McKenzie was separated from her husband and has two daughters, aged nine and 12.
