SSP manifesto at-a-glance

The Scottish Socialist Party's election manifesto contains six key pledges.

They are:

• The abolition of council tax in favour of a Scottish service tax based on income

• Free school meals for every state school pupil

• A minimum wage of £7.32 for all public sector workers

• The creation of 24,000 jobs through the implementation of a 35-hour maximum working week across the public sector

• An end to Private Finance Initiative (PFI), getting rid of the "profiteers" in public services

• Opposition to and obstruction of any war for oil.
