Mother on baby murder charge
Cottage
Police are investigating an alleged incident
A pregnant woman has appeared in court charged with murdering her baby daughter without actually harming her.

Andrea Bone, 20, was released on bail at Aberdeen Sheriff Court after appearing on the unusual charge of murdering her daughter Carla-Nicole, as an accessory.

Her co-accused, Alexander McClure, 27, has been charged with murdering the child and was remanded in custody.

Ms Bone and Mr McClure, both of Conland Farm Cottage at Forgue in Aberdeenshire, made no plea or declaration and were fully committed for trial.

The 13-month-old child died in Aberdeen Sick Children's Hospital on 13 May following an alleged incident at a farm cottage at Forgue, near Huntly.

In a statement, Ms Bone's solicitor Alan McCrae said: "She has been released on bail - this is unusual in a murder case.

"The charge that she faces is unusual in that she is in the capacity of an accessory."

The case is expected to be heard again in August.
