New ministerial appointments in full
Yvette Cooper MP
Yvette Cooper was promoted to minister for housing and planning
Here is the full list of new government appointments announced by Prime Minister Tony Blair on Monday.

In addition, MPs Douglas Alexander and Hazel Blears have been made members of the Privy Council, and a peerage has been given to Mr Blair's education adviser Andrew Adonis.
