Voters are urged to 'do politics'
Tom and Mike from the Do Politics campaign
The campaign highlights how politics affects everything
The Electoral Commission has launched its campaign to get voters to have their say on 5 May.

Turnout fell to 59% at the last election and pessimists believe voter apathy could lead to an equally disappointing figure this time around.

The campaign, using ten-foot-high mobile adverts, aims to explain how politics affects every aspect of life.

The towers, featuring characters Tom and Mike from the commission's TV adverts, will tour the country.

In the adverts Tom and Mike find that their conversation quickly dries up when Mike states that he "doesn't do politics".
