POSTED: Monday 11 April, 0900BST

A daily choice morsel from the newspapers' election coverage.

Charles and Sarah Kennedy
Mr and Mrs Kennedy and bump

Charles Kennedy's wife Sarah - who is very pregnant - joined her husband on the campaign trail yesterday. Sketch-writer Ann Treneman writes in the Times today: "The bump is really rather large and I could not help but feel a bit concerned. At this stage of pregnancy, other women are playing soothing tapes of waterfalls and Bach to their stomachs. Instead the Kennedy bump was getting a mini-lecture on foreign policy from Sir Menzies Campbell and an historical perspective on Lib Dem Values from Baroness Williams of Crosby. Surely it is far too young to be exposed to such obviously mad phrases as 'There is no glass ceiling for the Liberal Democrats!'"
