Gordon Brown says 'farewell' as Labour leader

Gordon Brown has said farewell to Labour party members after resigning as Prime Minister and leader of the Labour Party.

Speaking to Labour activists Gordon Brown took responsibility for the party's election loss saying "it's my fault and my fault alone".

Mr Brown will be replaced by deputy Harriet Harman until a successor is elected.
