Lib Dems take control of Cheltenham Borough Council

The Conservative leader of Cheltenham Borough Council has lost his seat in the local elections.

Stuart Hutton lost the Warden Hill seat to Liberal Democrat Josephine Teakle giving the Lib Dems control of the borough council with 25 seats.

In Gloucester, no party had a majority but the Conservatives hope to form a minority administration.

In Stroud, the Conservatives won 12 of 18 seats which means their majority is reduced by one to 12 seats.
