Nick Clegg has responded to a comment made by Home Secretary Alan Johnson, who suggested that the Lib Dem campaign was running on a "slow puncture".

Mr Clegg, who was attending an election rally for his party in Eastbourne, joked with the reporter that it had been Labour who "had a car crash" at a recent election event.

When asked about honesty and who he would work with in the event of a hung parliament, Mr Clegg responded that people should "vote for the future they want".
