Brown and Cameron agree to Paxman grilling

Jeremy Paxman and Nick Clegg
The Prime Minister will take part in the Panorama special on 26 April

Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Conservative leader David Cameron are to be interviewed by Jeremy Paxman on the BBC's Panorama programme.

Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg's interview with the Newsnight presenter was aired earlier this week.

Mr Brown has agreed to be interviewed in a similar Panorama special on 26 April.

The Conservative leader has agreed in principle to a half-hour interview, with the date as yet undecided.

A spokesman for Mr Brown said: "Gordon has always said he's happy to answer any questions. He will be relishing the opportunity to debate the big choices facing the country."
