The European Commission has published new plans to reform the controversial EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP).

It takes up around 40% of the EU budget, and is still associated for many people with the so-called wine lakes and butter mountains.

To discuss how the CAP should be reformed, The Record Europe's Janet Barrie is joined by:

• Richard Ashworth, British Conservative MEP who sits on the committees on Agriculture and Budgets

• José Bové, the French Green MEP from the 'Europe Ecologie' party

• Dan Jørgensen, the leader of the Danish Social Democrat MEPs and vice chairman of the Agriculture Committee.
