Want to become an Independent MP?

Independent MP Dr Richard Taylor, who's represented Wyre Forest for nine years, tells the Record Review there are three pre-requisites for your campaign: You've got to be well known in your area, you've got to have a central issue to base your campaign on, and it's best if your opponents are generally unpopular.

Dr Taylor was the elected in 2001 and was the first Independent MP to serve a second term since 1979.
