Council job cut 'not funding cut'

Communities Secretary John Denham has told the BBC that local councils that say they are cutting jobs are doing so out of choice, and not because of a lack of government funding.

A BBC survey suggests that at least 25,000 English council jobs will be at risk in the next three to five years.
