Helpline enters Brown 'bully' row

Members of staff who work within Gordon Brown's office have contacted the National Bullying Helpline to speak of "concerns", a spokeswoman for the service has said.

Christine Pratt said that she was "not suggesting that Gordon Brown is a bully" but that "staff in his office working directly with him have issues".

In response, Downing Street said that the National Bullying Helpline had never contacted Number 10 about the allegations, and that the civil service had a zero tolerance policy on bullying.
