Care talks 'a political smokescreen'

Shadow Health Secretary Andrew Lansley has explained why the Conservatives will not be taking part in a conference about the future of social care.

Labour and the Liberal Democrats are due to join care providers in the talks aimed at agreeing options for a national care service for England.

The Tories' Andrew Lansley said it was a political ploy.
