Stephen Byers to quit as MP

The former Blairite Cabinet minister, Stephen Byers, is to stand down as an MP at the next general election.

Since he moved to the back benches, Mr Byers has been an outspoken critic of Gordon Brown's leadership.

BBC political correspondent, Iain Watson, spoke to Mr Byers about his decision to leave.
