Grayling: UK needs annual immigration cap

The Prime Minister has given his first major speech about immigration in 18 months. Gordon Brown has argued that the points-based system is still the right approach to manage migration.

The Shadow Home Secretary Chris Grayling dismissed the announcement as rhetoric. He told the BBC that the UK needs to put a cap on the amount of immigrants arriving in the country each year.
