Brown welcomes banks plan

Gordon Brown has said the restructuring of two banks that were bailed out by the government is an "important step".

Royal Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group have confirmed that they will sell off some of their branches.

He was speaking during a press conference with UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon, who is currently in the UK for talks.
