Jacqui Smith waits for expenses report

The results of a six-month investigation into the expense claims of the former home secretary Jacqui Smith are due to be published.

The BBC understands Ms Smith will face criticism for saying that her main home was in London rather than in her Redditch constituency.

The investigation was carried out by the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, John Lyon.
