Baroness Scotland has spoken to the BBC about breaching employment laws when hiring her former housekeeper.

The attorney general said she had not committed a criminal act but accepted her "administrative penalty" of £5,000.

She said she made all the appropriate checks when hiring her housekeeper, however admitted failing to take photocopies of important documents.

She did not answer questions pertaining to calls for her resignation.
