Brown urges further G20 spending

Prime Minister Gordon Brown has urged G20 finance ministers to continue spending.

He told the audience at the meeting at the Treasury that fiscal policies vital to economic recovery needed to continue.

He said cutting spending could cause a "downward lurch" resulting in further problems and it was "not the time for economic complacency".
