Darling: 'New banking legislation needed'


Campaigners are calling for a new high pay commission to curb excessive salaries.

The think tank Compass says large rewards in banks and financial companies helped bring down the British economy - and that steps must be taken to stop it happening again.

Chancellor Alistair Darling has agreed it is important some form of new legislation is introduced to stop the these payments being made.
