Gordon Brown has rejected claims by an influential group of MPs that troops in Afghanistan do not have the necessary equipment to fight the Taliban.
The Commons Defence Committee says in a report that there's a shortage of helicopters which is hampering troops in the Helmand region.
But speaking in the Commons the Prime Minister said it was wrong to claim that servicemen and women's lives are being put at risk because of lack of equipment.
