Between Friday 17 and Sunday 19 July, BBC Parliament will broadcast the following select committee hearings:

Friday at 1845 BST:
The culture, media and sport committee grilled top BBC executives on the BBC Annual Report, with:
• Mark Thompson, director-general, BBC
• Sir Michael Lyons, chairman, BBC Trust
• Zarin Patel, chief financial officer, BBC

Friday at 2045 BST:
The Lords constitution committee heard evidence for its ongoing inquiry into the Cabinet Office and the centre of government. Witnesses:
• Lord Heseltine
• David Blunkett MP

Saturday at 1330 BST:
The Northern Ireland affairs committee held an evidence session on policing and justice, with:
• Sir Hugh Orde, chief constable, Police Service of Northern Ireland
• Drew Harris, assistant chief constable, Police Service of Northern Ireland
• David Cox, head, Historical Enquiries Team, Police Service of Northern Ireland

Saturday at 1800 BST:
Members of the liaison committee met to take evidence from Prime Minister Gordon Brown.

The committee holds twice yearly sessions with the prime minister on a range of domestic and international issues

Sunday at 1900 BST:
The culture, media and sport committee met to continue its inquiry into press standards, press and libel, with particular attention to the News of the World phone tapping allegations. Witnesses:
• Tim Toulmin, director, Press Complaints Commission
• Paul Johnson, deputy editor, Guardian News & Media
• Alan Rusbridger, editor, Guardian
• Nick Davies, journalist, Guardian

Sunday at 2130 BST:
The public administration committee met to to discuss the Lords Appointments Commission, with its chair, Lord Jay of Ewelme.
