PM: Expenses face 'radical review'

Gordon Brown has announced that all MPs' expense claims over the past four years are to be reviewed by an independent body.

Members will then be expected to repay any disputed claims and may also be subject to other disciplinary action.

The prime minister said that "extreme" action was needed to restore public trust in politicians.
