Mahon voices anger at Labour


The former Labour MP for Halifax, Alice Mahon, has resigned from the party after more than 50 years saying she feels betrayed.

In a letter to her constituency party in Halifax, she accused Gordon Brown of abandoning the values and principles that inspired her to join.
